The Whisperer in Darkness - the Study

Hi everyone!
Here is a personal practice project.
All the pieces are based on novel -The Whisperer in Darkness- which is from the Master, H.P. Lovecraft.
As all works are arranged by timeline.Through these pieces, you can spend a day with main character. To find what is happening, and going to the madness together.
This piece is designed for the study of house, Where Albert Wilmarth met Henry Akeley (Two main character) for the first time.

For this one, I tried to design this room from a perspective of an old man who lived alone. Lot of odd things happened around him. While he was investigating, collecting weird shaped rocks from the dark forest. He would do what to protect himself to feel safe in a hundred year old house.
These are the points for this picture which I focus on to solve.
